PROJECT PEW - PHASE 2:
We are pleased to announce Phase 2 of our “Project Pew” program. As you may notice on the pews there are gold plaques with various names on them. There are also some undesignated areas, and we would now like to offer those for purchase. The price is $100 per foot, with a 3-foot minimum. You will be able to pick from the available areas where you would like your pew. You may also designate the pew “in memory of” a loved one, or “donated by” your name. ST. ROSE TELEPHONE PRAYER CHAIN:
We have started a telephone prayer chain at St. Rose. When we receive a request for someone to be put on the prayer list, we then channel the calls to the people who would like to participate. There is no limit on the size of our prayer chain, as we can adjust the list at any time. If you would like to become a member of the telephone prayer chain, please call the office and leave your name and phone number. We have been told many times the magnitude of prayer, and this way we can channel our efforts to help our fellow parishioners!

MEDITATION GARDEN:

We would like to ask the assistance of everyone who attends church at St. Rose of Lima to keep adults and children from walking in the garden, and to please stay on the cement. Our Meditation Garden is in a growing process, and there are many new seedlings and delicate plants popping up. Many little children do not see these, and they get squashed. Thank you for your help!

We would like you to be aware that at any given time, someone may be sitting on a bench in the garden meditating, and when your children are running around or yelling, it interrupts the meditation process. The garden is not a play area, it is an area for people to come to sit and relax. Let's all try to keep it a  relaxing area for everyone.

Also, we ask that you not allow your children to climb on the statues in the garden. The rocks may pose a safety hazard, and the intent was never for people to climb on the statues. There are many benches placed throughout the garden for your convenience when visiting the garden.

TO NON-REGISTERED PARISHIONERS:
If you attend services here at St. Rose of Lima but are not registered, you might want to consider the following. The members of the St. Rose Staff and our Ministries always respond to the needs of registered members first. If you want to hold a special celebration, being a registered parishioner is one of the requirements. Letters of referral are not given to people of whom we have no knowledge; registration is the first step. Come by the office for a registration card.

MILITARY MEMBERS:
We are pleased to announce our Military Members Remembrance Wall, which is located in the hallway between the Chapel and the Main Sanctuary. If you have an immediate family member, either spouse, child or grandchild, who has been called to participate in the war against terrorism, you may submit to Sue in the Parish Office a wallet size picture, along with their name, and we will post it on the board. This way the parish may have a face to go along with the names of those we are keeping in our prayers.

RECYCLING PROJECT:

Did your cell phone conk out???  Did you want a new picture phone???  So what are you going to do with your old phone???  We have your solution!!!!  Bring your old cell phones, working or not, and deposit them in the basket outside the Parish Office. We turn them in to be recycled and receive $3 per phone. This is also a good way to help the environment by keeping the toxic substances contained in cell phones out of our landfills.

We are also collecting empty inkjet cartridges to be recycled. Cartridges from the following brands of printers that have print heads are recyclable:  HP, Lexmark, Xerox, Compaq, Samsung, Kodak, Apple & Canon. Please remember, these are inkjet cartridges only, not laser printer cartridges. We receive $2 for each cartridge recycled.
